What is the best way to sharpen a kitchen knife for the job?

I work in a banquet kitchen and cooking'm a student. With the knife throughout the morning and then the night takes quite toll on the sharpness. All ideas are welcome.

The "steel" that people often think sharpens the knife is not really a shrpening tool. Because it does not make stright is the edge of the leaf. For shapening stones are ok, but your best bet is an actual shapening Belt that moves. I take my knives to sharpen a knife professional service. I found it through the kitchen supply store in town. I guess they are about once every two years. I use the steel to Hoan / striaghten the blade at least once a week. Some even suggest that you either before or after each use. Shirataki tofu noodles in ginger-lemongrass broth

I cooked the scallops shrimp and first for about 3 minutes, then the snapper and cook for about 2 minutes. Then I added the calamari cooked and ready to get it for 30 seconds. I had the larger Pieces of seafood and bok choy stems and leaves cut into large bite-sized pieces. I left the whole shrimp.

Feel free doubled in the bok choy or add other low-carb vegetables, which you feel are appropriate for this delicious seafood stew. I would recommend that either more baby bok choy, bean sprouts, a few peas, carrots or julienned.
