Do I need a permit to shoot my friends at City Hall?
That is not their primary business or wedding shots. I'll take a few pictures for my photo class members. I have some simple devices such as SLR / flash / reflector / shield, which could be in use. but I would make a fine? I like in our Pasadena City Hall actually shoot .. nice, but I came to this and not clear where I stand. Please http://www.ci.pasadena.ca.us/film/weddingphotography.asp They give me some hints where else in order to fire stations, without being in conflict? I can spot my school to shoot?
Hmmm .. good? as that Wedding photos is specific. I would be the film office on Monday and explain the situation. Stress you are a student and that this contributes to the assignment of a class – there is no commercial value. You can fine you is what I get from the site, but only if you do wedding.If went early Sunday morning and did the shooting, Police roust you can, but you could probably get the shots before you get rousted. You can explain you are a student and could not play ( stupid, you can even imagine.) bring your student ID card. Exit immediately if they say you are polite to the cops and you (This is LAPD as we speak here)! You're not doing a wedding, and it will probably not be too long – but the roof and could to unnerve the copper plates. LA is a tough place on Photography – some parts of the city will ignore you, others require a permit. How did the town hall is flat, you will probably get noticed. It is a strange Thing. If you shoot Vasquez Rocks in Agua Dolce, they will confiscate your equipment if you do not have a license and 1 M in insurance. And this is a public park. (A single landscape photog to do is fine, but a model makes you a "pro" – regardless of reality.) Do not shoot here (plus, the place is in every TV show in the air, and half of the ads!) I would think if you only use a large reflector, you can get away with Shooting to get the most public parks, the beach, and the like. The state and the flash is what is going to attract attention. If I were you, would I try to shoot in the early am, and when using the flash / umbrella, have just set up and when the cops come very, very contrite, pack and leave Immediately after to ask her. Be sure to emphasize the "I'm just a student and do not know …" bit. I would think you could always on the campus shooting with the full gear, without getting into trouble. Good luck
